2010, Rock Your Horror returns to the Latam Restaurant and Bar
in the historically haunted Centro de Asturiano Building (1913 N. Nebraska
Avenue, Tampa, FL 33602). Please join us
for this unique event combining both music and visual art to create a truly
visceral experience.
This year’s musical line-up gets spacey with dynamic
performances by festival favorites BoomBox;
the electro-jam clan The Malah; and
funked up DJ’s Craig Heneveld and Labyrinth.
The party stays proper with all-night drink specials, free
parking, and a cash-prize costume contest.
Centro de Asturiano’s haunted history was featured in U.C.

Haunting Ybor?’ by Paul Guzzo- Sep/Oct ’09 issue of U.C. Tampa Magazine
“The largest social club in Ybor
City is also one of its most haunted buildings, as countless individuals claim
to have seen ghosts in its breathtaking theatre. Some people also report having seen a man and
woman dressed in vintage attire sitting in its front row. Others say they’ve seen an old man standing
in the rafters above the stage (near where the theatre’s caretaker once lived).
In December
2007, S.P.I.R.I.T.S.- a St. Petersburg-based ghost hunting team- visited the
theatre in hopes they’d find a ghost.
Their audio equipment picked up the sound of a Latin man answering ‘si’
when they asked if any ghosts where in the room. In addition, their video camera captured
footage of a cloud briefly floating behind the team’s members as they descended
the theatre’s stairs."
